Patrick James Scanlan (7 July 1878 – 16 July 1938) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
[7][8] They had nine children; one of which, a son, died in his infancy.
He made his debut (kicking two of the team's five goals) for Melbourne, against St Kilda, at the MCG, on 25 June 1898.
[9] He died at Elingamite, near Cobden, Victoria on 16 July 1938.
