[3] Born in Middletown, Pennsylvania, on September 6, 1928, Crawford graduated from Murphy High School in Alabama, and then pursued higher education studies at the Keystone Business School and West Chester State College (now West Chester University).
[4] A legal secretary who was employed by Blue Cross, she was elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1969 term.

[7] Crawford died on February 11, 2008, in Leesburg, New Jersey, and was interred at the Saint Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Garden in Devon, Pennsylvania.
