Patrick Calvar

Patrick Calvar (born 26 November 1955) served as head of the French General Directorate for Internal Security from 30 May 2012[1] to 31 May 2017.

[2] Patrick Calvar has spent over 30 years in the French security and intelligence services, starting his career during the Cold War.

He has worked at all levels of responsibility and was eventually appointed Deputy Director of the security service.

Currently Patrick Calvar is the head of C. Conseil, a strategic intelligence consulting company.

He also teaches at Sciences Po Paris School (Paris Institute of Political Studies) and is Special Advisor at Montaigne Institute.
