Patrick Lennon (bishop)

Patrick Lennon (22 June 1914 – 12 January 1990) was an Irish priest who served as Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin.

Patrick Lennon was born in 1914 at Borris, County Carlow.

[1] He attended Maynooth College earning a BSc in physics and mathematics (1934), and was ordained a priest there on 19 June 1938,[2] pursuing postgraduate studies he obtained a doctorate in divinity with a thesis on the Eucharist.

Thomas Lennon SMA, also went on to become a priest, serving in Africa and Ireland.

[5] He died in a car accident in Kill, County Kildare, on 12 January 1990.
