Patrick M. Regan (born September 1, 1956) is a professor of Political Science and Peace Studies at University of Notre Dame.
He was also a member of the Peace Corps after receiving his undergraduate degree and travelled to Calcutta to work with Mother Teresa for six weeks.
Regan's research interests include issues around violent armed conflict and its resolution.
This includes the militarization of societies, determinants of human rights violations, negotiations in international conflict resolution, and interventions in civil wars.
He is on the editorial boards of International Studies Quarterly and is an associate editor of the Journal of Peace Research.
