Paul Slack

Paul Alexander Slack FBA (born 23 January 1943) is a British historian.

Slack was educated at Bradford Grammar School, the University of Oxford (BA, DPhil).

He served as junior proctor during the academic year 1986–87 and chairman of the General Board 1995–96.

In 1999 he was appointed professor of early modern social history.

He is also a member of the Environmental Change Institute advisory board and a former chairman of the curators of the University Libraries.
