Pendleton, Cincinnati

[1] The neighborhood is sometimes referred to as the "Pendleton Art District"[2] of Over-the-Rhine because of its small size, but Pendleton and Over-the-Rhine are officially two separate neighborhoods in District 1 of the City of Cincinnati.

[3] The neighborhood was named after George H. Pendleton (1825–1889), a U.S. Representative and Senator whose house still stands in the area.

[4] Pendleton is located on the east side of Over-the-Rhine, north of the Central Business District, and south of Mount Auburn.

The racial makeup of the neighborhood was 54.3% White, 39.3% Black or African American, 0.4% Native American, 1.4% Asian, 0.0% Pacific Islander, 0.1% from some other race, and 4.5% from two or more races.
