Pertti Lauri Juhani Kaukonen (born 5 June 1942 Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish Ambassador.
President Senghor conferred the Officer of the National Order of the Lion award upon Kaukonen.
[2][1] In 1984 Kaukonen was transferred to the Finnish Embassy in Washington, the United States of America, and into the role of Deputy Head of Mission.
As the head of state, the President of Finland made his first official visit to Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates in 1996.
At a dinner banquet hosted by the Secretary General of the Finnish Parliament, Seppo Tiitinen, Ambassador Kaukonen gave a speech in which he described Kuwaiti diwaniyas as the best form of democracy.
