Peta Lindsay

[1] Lindsay was born in Virginia and grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Washington, DC.

[1] On September 24, 2001, Lindsay spoke at ANSWER's first press conference as a high school student.

[1] Lindsay attended Howard University and continued as a leader with the ANSWER coalition, including as a lead organizer of the January 2003 protest against the upcoming Iraq War.

[1] She was recognized by The Washington Post in March 2003 for her anti-war activism in a piece entitled "Student Leader Sees Through Bush Propaganda".

Lindsay and/or a stand-in was on the ballot in 13 states (Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin).
