Pete Nance

Pete Lucas Nance (born February 19, 2000)[1] is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Charge of the NBA G League.

[4] On June 29, 2017, Nance committed to playing for Northwestern Wildcats men's basketball team starting in the 2018–19 season.

[8] Nance debuted in an exhibition game against the McKendree Bearcats, during which he notched 12 points, eight rebounds, three blocks and four steals in 19 minutes off the bench.

[11] In his first regular-season college basketball game, Nance scored three points and provided one assist in a win against the New Orleans Privateers.

After testing the waters in the 2022 NBA draft, Nance ultimately returned to college and transferred to North Carolina.

He was able to join the Tar Heels due to an NCAA rule granting all student-athletes an extra year of eligibility because of the COVID-19 pandemic shutting down sports at the end of the 2019–20 season.

Immediately becoming a starter and a key part of the rotation, Nance and the Tar Heels struggled through an up-and-down season.
