Peter B. Rhines (born 23 July 1942) is an oceanographer at the University of Washington.
He got a BS from MIT in 1964 and a PhD from Trinity College, Cambridge in 1967.
He joined the University of Washington in 1984 and was professor there until he became emeritus in July 2017.
