Peter Dronke

Ernst Peter Michael Dronke FBA (30 May 1934 – 19 April 2020) was a scholar specialising in Medieval Latin literature.

In 1955 he received a travelling scholarship to study at Magdalen College, Oxford.

[3] After graduating with a first in English, in 1958 Dronke was elected to a three-year Junior Research Fellowship at Merton College.

[5] He took up a lectureship in Medieval Latin at the University of Cambridge in 1961 and became a fellow of Clare Hall in 1964.

[6] He became a foreign member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1997.
