Peter Ian Philpott OAM (21 November 1934 – 31 October 2021) was an Australian cricketer.
He was a leg-spin bowler and middle order batsman who played for New South Wales and the national team in the 1960s.
Back home against England in the 1965–66 Ashes series he took 5/90 in the first innings of the First Test at Brisbane, forcing England to follow on, but took only 8 wickets (46.37) in the first three Tests of the series and was dropped.
He played for New South Wales from 1954–55 to 1966–67, and toured New Zealand with the Australian XI in 1966–67.
Philpott died on 31 October 2021 due to complications from a fall, 21 days short of his 87th birthday.
