Sir Peter Riddel (died 18 April 1641) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1624 and 1640.
He was re-elected MP for Newcastle in 1626 and in 1628, and sat until 1629 when King Charles decided to rule without parliament for eleven years.

Riddel at Newcastle had no option but to admit the Scottish army to the town.
[4] Riddel died in 1641 and was buried in the church of St Nicholas, Newcastle.
