Petrovice I

Petrovice I is a municipality and village in Kutná Hora District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.

[3] The Roman numeral in the name serves to distinguish it from the nearby municipality of the same name, Petrovice II.

The municipal territory is rich in fishponds, the largest of which is Zbožňov.

From 1724, Petrovice I was owned by the town of Kutná Hora and was annexed to the Červené Janovice estate.

[4] The most valuable building in the municipality is the Church of Saint Matthew in Michalovice.
