Phil O'Neill

Phillip Joseph O'Neill (6 June 1941 – 7 January 2020) was an Australian politician.

He was the Labor member for Burwood in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1978 to 1984.

He was educated at Catholic schools in Enfield and Ashfield, becoming a clerk.

[1] In 1978 he was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as the Labor member for Burwood, defeating sitting Liberal MP John Jackett.

[2] Following his defeat, he returned to local politics, serving again on Burwood Council from 1987 to 2000.
