[1][2][3] She attended Armstrong Junior College in Savannah receiving an Associate of Arts degree in 1939.
She was in private practice from 1944 to 1976 and then served from 1977 to 1979 as a judge of the Superior Court of the Eastern Judicial Circuit of Georgia.
[6][7] Kravitch was nominated by President Jimmy Carter on January 19, 1979, to a seat on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit vacated by Judge Lewis Render Morgan.
[7] Kravitch was reassigned by operation of law on October 1, 1981, to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, to a new seat authorized by 94 Stat.
[11][12] Her service terminated on June 15, 2017, due to her death at the Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.
