Piano Sonata No. 6 (Feinberg)

The piece received its premiere on 4 September 1925 at the Festival of Contemporary Music in Venice.

Feinberg's composition was well-received, and would remain his only piano sonata to receive a wide publication.

The piece was well received and even resulted in some publicity when the Dutch journal De Telegraaf pitted Feinberg's composition against the Piano Sonata of Igor Stravinsky, who was also in attendance of the festival.
