The racial makeup of the township was 98.35% White, 1.10% African American, and 0.55% from two or more races.

21.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

About 4.2% of families and 5.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 5.6% of those under the age of eighteen and none of those 65 or over.
