Pilton is a small village and civil parish in the county of Rutland in the East Midlands of England.
The village's name means 'farm/settlement with a creek', perhaps referring to the River Chater.
[3] It is a mile or two south of Rutland Water, and near North Luffenham, Wing and Lyndon.
To the east of the village is the site of the former Pilton Brick & Tile Works which was part of the Normanton estate, owned by the Earls of Ancaster.
St Nicholas' Church, Pilton is a Grade II* listed building.
