The Pittsburgh Panthers track and field team is the track and field program that represents University of Pittsburgh.
The Panthers compete in NCAA Division I as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The team is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the Fitzgerald Field House.
Nonetheless, students train indoors at the Fitzgerald Field House and there are plans to build an additional 300 m indoor track facility.
John Woodruff went on to win the gold medal at the 1936 Olympic 800 m.[6] As of 2024[update], a total of 46 men and 16 women have achieved individual first-team All-American status at the Division I men's outdoor, women's outdoor, men's indoor, or women's indoor national championships.
