Plainsboro Center is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP)[8] in Plainsboro Township, Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States.
[11] The community is in southwestern Middlesex County and occupies south-central Plainsboro Township.
The borough of Princeton is 5 miles (8 km) to the west, Cranbury is the same distance to the east, and New Brunswick, the Middlesex county seat, is 14 miles (23 km) to the northeast.
The 2010 United States census counted 2,712 people, 1,192 households, and 735 families in the CDP.
Of all households, 33.9% were made up of individuals and 5.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
