Podarcis vaucheri

The species is native to northern Africa and southern Spain.

The specific name, vaucheri, is in honor of Swiss botanist Henri Vaucher (1856–1910).

[3] P. vaucheri is found in Algeria, Morocco, Spain, and Tunisia.

[1] The natural habitats of P. vaucheri are temperate forests, Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, rocky areas, pastureland, rural gardens, and urban areas, at altitudes from sea level to 3,100 m (10,200 ft).

[2] P. vaucheri is not considered a threatened species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
