Pogorelec (pronounced [pɔɡɔˈɾeːləts]; German: Pogorelz[1]) is a former settlement in the Municipality of Dolenjske Toplice in southern Slovenia.
The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region.
Italian troops burned the village in the summer of 1942 during the Rog Offensive.
After the war a lodge with a large hay loft belonging to the Podturn Forestry Works was built here, used for part of the year by forestry workers.
