Poronaysky District (Russian: Порона́йский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion) of Sakhalin Oblast, Russia; one of the seventeen in the oblast.

[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Poronaysky Urban Okrug.

[6] It is located in the eastern central part of the Island of Sakhalin.

The area of the district is 7,280.2 square kilometers (2,810.9 sq mi).

[2] Its administrative center is the town of Poronaysk.
