Tymovsky District (Russian: Ты́мовский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion) of Sakhalin Oblast, Russia; one of the seventeen in the oblast.
[1] Municipally, it is incorporated as Tymovsky Urban Okrug.
The area of the district is 6,312.7 square kilometers (2,437.3 sq mi).
[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Tymovskoye.
[3] The Tym River passes through the district in a roughly south-north direction.
