Porterdale is a town in Newton County, Georgia, the United States.
Porterdale was incorporated on March 10, 1917,[4] and was named after Oliver S. Porter, a local mill owner.
[5] Porterdale is located at 33°34′11″N 83°53′53″W / 33.56972°N 83.89806°W / 33.56972; -83.89806 (33.569585, -83.897968).
[6] According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.6 km2), all land.
As of the 2020 United States census, there were 1,799 people, 667 households, and 370 families residing in the city.
