[1] His father, elocutionist Chinmoy Jeeban Ghosh (Bengali: চিন্ময় জীবন ঘোষ), introduced him to the art of recitation at the age of three.
Ghosh was a pioneer, who made recitation widely accepted within the cultural milieu of Bengal during the 1960s.
He worked as Joint Director in the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs of Government of West Bengal.
Ghosh was the recipient of Kazi Sabyasachi Award by Government of West Bengal in 2016.
[8] Survived by his daughter Pritha Ghosh, he left behind a legacy of elocution in Bengal through his disciples and students.
