Praveen Sood is an Indian policeman who serves as Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation and served as Police Commissioner of Bangalore and Mysore.

He became the Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) in Bengaluru in 2008 and served till 2011.

Later in 2013, as Managing Director of the Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation, he was known to improving the turnover of KSPHC.
