Prentiss, Maine

Prentiss is an unorganized territory (township) in Penobscot County, Maine, United States.

The township was named for Henry Prentiss, an early landowner.

As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 214 people, 82 households, and 61 families living in the unorganized territory.

There were 113 housing units at an average density of 2.9 per square mile (1.1/km2).

18.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
