Proberta is a census-designated place[4] in Tehama County, California, United States.

[6][7] According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP covers an area of 1.4 square miles (3.7 km2), all of it land.

[8] The 2010 United States Census[9] reported that Proberta had a population of 267.

19 households (21.1%) were made up of individuals, and 8 (8.9%) had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

There were 100 housing units at an average density of 69.9 per square mile (27.0/km2), of which 60 (66.7%) were owner-occupied, and 30 (33.3%) were occupied by renters.
