Qamar Hussain

Qamar Hussain Choudhary (born 1948) is an Indian politician from Jammu and Kashmir.

[1] He was nominated again to contest the Thanamandi Assembly constituency which was a newly created seat, reserved for Scheduled Tribe community in the 2024 election by JKPDP but lost.

[2] Hussain is from Thanamandi, Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir.

[3] Hussain won from Rajouri Assembly constituency representing the Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party in the 2014 Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly election.

He polled 26,954 votes and defeated his nearest rival, Chowdhary Talib Hussain of the Bharatiya Janata Party, by a margin of 2,490 votes.
