Rafael Novoa (baseball)

Rafael Angel Novoa (born October 26, 1967) is an American former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the San Francisco Giants in 1990 and for the Milwaukee Brewers in 1993.

A native of New York, New York, Novoa attended Fordham Preparatory School and played college baseball for Villanova, where he earned All-Tournament honors in the 1987 Big East Conference baseball tournament.

Novoa never won a game at the major league level but on September 30, 1990, he was able to notch his one and only career save.

He pitched the final four innings of a 8–2 Giants win over the arch rival Dodgers.
