Ragley, Louisiana

Ragley is an unincorporated community in Beauregard Parish, Louisiana, United States.

The community is located at the junction of U.S. routes 171 and 190, 20 miles (32 km) north of Lake Charles.

[5][6] In 1935 construction began on the brick 10-room Hollingsworth School that was completed in 1937 by Works Progress Administration (WPA) workmen.

[7] The 19-acre Purple Heart Walking Park & Fishing Pond, honoring wounded veterans, was dedicated on January 11, 2014.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries stocked and restocks the pond with Channel Catfish and Rainbow Trout.
