Ram Charitra Rai Yadav was an Indian politician, activist, social worker, and freedom fighter.

He became a martyr on August 11, 1998, sacrificing his life in a firing incident at Sitamarhi collectorate while advocating for the rights of the poor and protesting against neglect in providing relief during a movement demanding adequate relief for flood-affected survivors,as this tragic event affected several parts of North Bihar.

I fully realized this deep thing when in 1998, there was police firing on the meeting being held after the demonstration at Sitamarhi Collectorate gate, in which former MLA Ram Charitra Rai along with Dr. Ayub, Mahant Mandal were present.
