The children of Vivekananda Balakendra were fed with milk, biscuits and boiled eggs daily, in order to provide supplementary nutrition to the regular food in their homes.

In the year 2017–18, 17 students benefiting from the study-coaching at Balakendra appeared at the Secondary Board exam (from other schools) under Jharkhand Academic Council.
