Raymond Nimmer

[3] After graduating from law school in 1968, he worked as a Research Attorney at the American Bar Foundation from 1968 to 1975.

In 1975, Nimmer began teaching at the University of Houston Law Center.

[5] He stepped down as dean in early 2013[6] citing health concerns and a feeling that he had accomplished the goals he had set out in his deanship.

[8] Nimmer served of counsel at two Houston law firms: at Sheinfeld, Maley and Kay from 1985 to 1991 and at Weil, Gotshal & Manges from 1992 to 1999.

Professor Nimmer was a frequent speaker in the United States and overseas in the areas of intellectual property, business and technology law.
