Reinhold Hilbers (born 25 July 1964 in Lingen) is a German businessman and politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) who has been a member of the State Parliament of Lower Saxony since March 2003.
From 2017 to 2022, served as State Minister of Finance in the government of Minister-President Stephan Weil.
After training in the wholesale and export business, Hilbers completed military service in the Bundeswehr.
In 2017, Bernd Althusmann included Hilbers in his shadow cabinet for the Christian Democrats’ campaign to unseat incumbent Minister-President Stephan Weil; during the campaign, he was in charge of social policy issues.
Hilbers was nominated by his party as delegate to the Federal Convention for the purpose of electing the President of Germany in 2022.
