Remire-Montjoly is a suburb of Cayenne, the capital préfecture and largest city of French Guiana.

[3] Cayenne and French Guiana's main seaport, the port of Dégrad des Cannes, is located in the commune of Remire-Montjoly, on the estuary of the river Mahury.
