René Rouquet (born 15 February 1946) is a French politician who served as member of the National Assembly of France.
He represented the Val-de-Marne department,[1] and is a member of the Socialiste, radical, citoyen et divers gauche.
In addition to his role in parliament, Rouquet served as member of the French delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe from 2010.
[4] In January 2017, he was elected as one of 17 vice-presidents of the Assembly, under the leadership of Pedro Agramunt.
[5] In June 2016, Rouquet announced that he would not stand in the 2017 legislative elections but instead resign from active politics by the end of the parliamentary term.
