Renée Friedman

Renée Friedman is an American Egyptologist, primarily known for her work at Nekhen (Hierakonpolis).

Friedman received her BA from the University of California at Berkeley, where her thesis was on the predynastic Egyptian cemetery at Naga ed Der.

In 1996, along with Barbara Adams,[1] she began working as co-director of the American Hierakonpolis Expedition,[2] which had been on a 4-year hiatus following the death of the former director Walter Fairservis.
