Renato Vinícius Canini (February 22, 1936 — October 30, 2013) was a Brazilian illustrator, known for his work in publications like O Pasquim and Pancada, and for Editora Abril, where he drew Disney comics, chiefly José Carioca.
[1][2] Canini' first job was at age 21, for Rio Grande do Sul state's Secretary of Education and Culture, doing illustrations for the children's magazine Cacique.
[3] When the publication ceased, Canini kept doing engineering technical drawings until he completed ten years as a civil servant, a thing he despised.
