The United Kingdom's component of the 1999 European Parliament election was held on Thursday 10 June 1999.
They were the first nationwide poll since the 1997 United Kingdom general election.
The votes were counted in each Westminster constituency, and the results were amalgamated for the regional lists.
These European elections were the first to be fought under proportional representation within Great Britain.
