Rex is a census-designated place (CDP) in Robeson County, North Carolina, United States.
The population was 55 at the 2010 census, and Rex ranked fourth on the list of the highest-income places in the United States.
[citation needed] According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2), all land.
5.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
Rex has two CSX railroad crossings as well as its own U.S. Post Office Branch.
