Rice is an unincorporated community in Cloud County, Kansas, United States.

[1] In the 19th century, Rice was a station on the Central Branch Union Pacific Railroad, but the town's proximity to the larger trading center of Concordia inhibited its growth.

[2] A post office was opened in Rice in 1878, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1980.

[3] The community is served by Concordia USD 333 public school district.
