Richard David McCormick was born on July 4, 1940, and is an American business executive.
[1] He was also a director for Wells Fargo & Company (1983-2010) and an honorary chairman to the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
He received his BS degree in electrical engineering from Iowa State University in 1961.
[2] He moved to Northwestern Bell in 1969, rising to the presidency of the Omaha based company in 1982.
McCormick retired as the CEO of US West in 1998 as well as the chairman of the board of directors in 1999.
