Richard H. Finan (born August 16, 1934) is an American Republican politician who formerly served in the Ohio General Assembly.
[1] He was reelected in 1982, and went on to serve as Chairman of the Senate Ways and Means Committee.
[3] However, he remained in the Senate and won a fifth term in the fall election of that year.
When Senate President Stanley Aronoff decided not to seek reelection in 1996, Finan was nominated to replace him.
[4] Since leaving the Senate, Finan has returned to private practice and lobbying.
