Richard Notebaert

Richard C. Notebaert (born 1947 in Montreal, Canada) is the former chairman and CEO of Qwest, Tellabs and Ameritech.

[2] He was credited for saving Qwest from bankruptcy,[3] and making Ameritech the most successful "Baby Bell".

[4] Notebaert is a member of the board of directors of Aon Corp., Cardinal Health Inc. and American Electric Power Company, Inc.

[1] In 2003, Notebaert was appointed by President Bush to the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee.

[4] After graduating from University of Wisconsin–Madison with a bachelor's degree in 1969,[7] he joined Wisconsin Bell marketing operation.
