James R. "Rick" Just is an American politician and author serving as a member of the Idaho Senate for the 15th district.

Elected in November 2022, he assumed office on December 1, 2022.

[1] Just was born in Blackfoot, Idaho, and graduated from Firth High School.

[2] He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Public Administration from Boise State University.

For 30 years, he worked for the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, retiring as chief planner.
