Katie (Alexandra Lamy) lives with her daughter Lisa (Mélusine Mayance) in welfare housing in eastern Paris.

The child, who they name Ricky (Arthur Peyret), becomes a source of anxiety and unwelcome surprise as he is noisy and demanding.
